What was the main topic of the project?
Eliise Siimon – Detoxing from social media and phones
Anna-Maria Prokofjeva - Social media impact on mental health
Alissa Vorobjova - Technological impact on our daily lives, e-waste, reconnecting with nature, living without technological support using real-life connections, veganism and envinromental activism.
Darja Bulavkina – Detox from internet, routine, self-knowledge
Yuliya Panasenko - Detox from phones, meditations, vegan food, hiking
Ingmar Roomets - Responsible use of digital tools and mindfulness
Hedda Saare - digital detox, stepping away from everyday digital environment and creating meaningful connections in real life
Ulrika Uudam - detox
What was the biggest learning moment for you?
Eliise Siimon – We shouldn't use social media to distract us from our emotions
Anna-Maria Prokofjeva - Including detox in my everyday life by different tecniques that I learned on the project.
Alissa Vorobjova - How interesting it may be to figure out tasks and questions just discussing them with other people, without getting an immediate response from google.
Darja Bulavkina – I understood, how addicted I am to the internet, news and chatting. I’m used to being in touch 24/7 and it was really hard to not be able to know what’s happening in the world.
Yuliya Panasenko - That I actually like hiking, now I will be vegetarian, I will be more productive, less procrastinating on my phone
Ingmar Roomets - Responsible use of digital tools and mindfulnessIt is actually really fun to put away your phone and disconnect from social media and internet to then connect with nature and other people
Hedda Saare - living together in a community and accepting the different ways people choose to behave
Ulrika Uudam - Realizing how little I missed my phone when there was no connection on it.
Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?
Eliise Siimon – Yes, I plan on detoxing actively and also spreading my knowledge to others.
Anna-Maria Prokofjeva - I plan to continue being active in psychological/mental health field. I will continue my studies
Alissa Vorobjova - Of course. I would love to learn more about the envinroment and about the technological impact on it. I would definetely practice meditation as we did on the project, as it calmed my nervous system incredibly well. And i will keep being a member of NYH and look for more opportunities.
Darja Bulavkina - I would like to keep eating vegetarian food and try more vegan recipes, since our cook proved that vegan food worths it.
Yuliya Panasenko - Yes! Like I said: vegetarian, more time for myself, learning languages, less phone, meditations at home, more time in nature
Ingmar Roomets - Yes, I would like to participate in more Erasmus+ and other projects about this and also other topics
Hedda Saare - I'd like to partake in future projects
Ulrika Uudam - In my own life I would definitely want to continue the practices learned from the project but I'm still figuring out how to be active in this field.
Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Eliise Siimon - Yes, I learned a lot aboit the topic.
Anna-Maria Prokofjeva - Yes. It is crutial to learn how to take time off and integrate mindfulness in our daily life
Alissa Vorobjova - Totally yes! This was one of the best Erasmus projects for me to be honest. We managed to create a real commune, where people cared for each other, it ususally never happened on other projects, as we still were connected with the world outside. Here we managed to bond extremely deeply and become a team.Organisers made everything very structured and on topic. In addition, they were very fun!The place itself was extremely beautiful and we had a cook Stefano. He showed us that vegan food can be so tasty, he is also very educated on a nutrition part. We also had an extremely interestig trip to Procida island (some of the participants went to Pompei and Lucrino which they also liked very much). Living in peace with nature was so relieving.but be prepared to shower outside, hike, eat vegan and that you wont have any service on your phone (organisers have it if you really need it )
Darja Bulavkina - Yes, it made me appreciate more all the facilities we have now
Yuliya Panasenko - Yes, absolutely! I really liked this project! It was amazing! I would recommend it to get new unforgettable experience
Ingmar Roomets - Yes, it’s a great place to meet people, experience new cultures, and learn something new
Hedda Saare - YES! this was a great experience and it was organized very well. it's a great way to distance yourself from everyday life which is deeply intertwined with digital technology
Ulrika Uudam - Yeah, I would recomend it. I think a lot of people spend too much time behind screens and not conecting to themselves, others, and nature.
Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue, if you want!
Alissa Vorobjova - I would go again!
Yuliya Panasenko - Now I’m planning to participate in others projects too!
Ingmar Roomets - Don’t miss out on the opportunity and apply for the next erasmus+ project, you won’t regret it!
Hedda Saare - I LOVED IT! I will remember forever the people, the vegan food, the cows and the mountains!
